  1. Supportive Constructive Communication

One of the things that drew me, my wife Carol, and many others to this site was the positive, supportive, and genuinely helpful tone of the members. There was a family feeling to caring about each other’s problems and questions with their new GDRV as well as with other areas too. You could count on feedback being courteous and respectful with at times a little playful jabbing and jawing back and forth.

As this small town site has been growing into a larger city, the parallels ...

  2. Leisure Lake Resort & Chicago's Pizzeria Dues

Left Comlara and headed north to Joliet in the great state of Illinois. We chose Leisure Lake Campground because it is somewhat near Chicago, but not in the very busy city. It's a great campground, but dusty and windy all the time. I mean, all the time! Pizzeria Dues is a legendary deep dish pizza joint in Chicago. Had to give it a go. It is very good, but it doesn't match Shotgun Dan's in Sherwood, AR, our local hit pizza joint. Having an amazing time here folks.

Next morning was great and we headed to Amber's. Visited with them, ate Q, did the movie thang, and had some great convo. Made this vid as I'm trying to for all our travels.

The Arches and Canyonlands were amazing. I think I went into sensory overload, there was so much to see. We did stop at Dead Horse State Park also, not as large but just as amazing. We left Moab and headed east towards Colorado. We did make a stop in Fruita and picked up some peaches as wrp75_CO suggested. We continued along I 70 as my wife wanted to get over to Custer City and skip Rockie Mountain Nat Park. Stayed in Golden Co. for the night at Dakota ridge RV and then headed back out towards ...

  5. Day 4 and 5

Day 4, We got the truck back as promised and headed out for Utah on Tuesday, the wife check on Zion Park and found out that we could not drive our own vehicle thru the park, we would have to take their tour, so the dog would have to stay behind. That was not going to happen so we passed on that. My wife also read about Brice Canyon and thought she may not survive it because she is terrified of heights. We moved on to Salina Utah and stayed at the Butch Cassidy RV park for the night. Nice little ...
