Molly's Winter Vacation
Molly's winter vacation started with an unexpected two day stop in Florence, SC. Grand Design did a fantastic job of getting us the needed part overnight!!! After what seemed like forever to Molly we got to our site in Bradenton and finally went to the dog beach in Venice, FL. She was super excited to get back to the beach. She also enjoyed her visit with Koda and Gizmo. We enjoyed early strawberries and produce, but couldn't gloat about the weather since it was warm back in Virginia Beach. We started
Hurricane Matthew and the Blue Ridge Parkway
We watched and watched the weather forecast and decided that Hurricane Matthew was supposed to head east near Charleston, so it would be fine to join our dealer's annual Owner's Rally about 30 miles west of Williamsburg, VA. We had fine weather when we left Virginia Beach Friday midday. We spent Saturday mostly inside with about 6" of rain and 20 to 30 mph winds. Despite this, we had a good time and stayed dry (as long as we stayed inside). It was interesting to hear about our dealer no longer
Family, Genealogy, Another Swim State, and Friends

It was great to escape the heat and humidity in Virginia Beach. We visited family and enjoyed the annual family campout in the Central New York/Finger Lakes area. From there we traveled to northeast Iowa to do some genealogy. It was pretty country and Molly got to swim in the Mississippi River. Then we moved onto Madison Wisconsin for more genealogy, and just happened to stay across the street from an off leash dog beach, so Molly got her 'been swimming here' count up to 28 different states. The
No Camping For a Bit
Well, when you blow out your knee you don't get to camp for a while. Molly tore her CCL (like an ACL) and had surgery in May. She now has the OK from the doctor and is really looking forward to coming to the rally. She remembers that great swimming spot across the street.
Another State for Molly

Instead of the usual jaunt down to Florida, we traveled from the mid Atlantic to Texas this year. On the way down, we spent a couple of nights near Pensacola, and enjoyed visiting the National Naval Aviation Museum. It is always great to meet other Grand Design owners, and we continued our pattern of seeing Debby at a campground (in NY last summer on the way to the rally, in central Virginia last fall) when we both happened to stop for one night at the same park just outside of Houston. Nice unexpected
