Plumbing - Tools and Spare Parts

I have been asked a couple of times, to post a list of the plumbing tools and spare parts that I carry. In finally getting around to this, I was surprised to find that all the spare parts and even the tools would probably fit into one shoe box. I decided to tell this story with pictures. Please see the attached.

(I had to take the picture resolution way down to get to a file size that I could post on this forum, so if someone wants a higher resolution copy please contact me)

Once again I’m amazed at the things I don’t know about my TT and the stuff I need to buy. I have lots of tools, but no knowledge at all about Pex plumbing. Rob, thanks for sharing. This forum is the best!

Thanks very much, Rob. The spares section is really helpful to me. Like the Plexi slider... very much!

Great job with the detailed description of fixes for the strange combination of pex and soft hose. One question: what is the ‘1⁄2” Swivel Female Fitting to Pex Plug’ used for?

Hi Bob - If you needed to temporarily seal a 1/2” male threaded fitting such as any port on the Kantleak valve or a Nautilus valve, that would be the female part to do this.
