[QUOTE=hduncan;365562]One more thing to think about. This really became an issue when we had our Class A gasser. It is very difficult to find a gas station with enough space to accommodate a large RV and vehicle. When we moved over to diesel, we found using the truck stops a much more convenient and easier process to refuel. BTW, I prefer the Ford over the GMC. Just moved from a 2019 Ford F350 SRW to a 2021 Ford F350 DRW.[/QUOTE
This is exactly why we switched from a gas truck to a diesel. When we wintered in Florida two winters ago we had a heck of a time with our 5th wheel and gas truck being able to fit. Very stressful! Now it's easy in/easy out and stress free.

I agree about the stress of finding a suitable gas station location. My wife would begin the search for a gas station that could accommodate our rig when we had 100 miles remaining on the tank. There were a couple gas stations I had to ignore once I got onsite because there was no way to get in there safely. Like you said, it is now easy in and easy out.

I couldn't agree more. Finding diesel has never been a problem. More important to me is that, when pulling, I only stop at a truck stop. Stress free refueling; easy in/out.

The other benefit of a diesel that is easy to overlook is the engine brake.

What do you think of used, 100,000 miles. GMC Denali, plus it has the six speed transmission???
not sure about the ford yet. just like the looks of the GMC better, maybe I am a worst creature of habit than I thought!

I ordered my 2017 F350 diesel dually 8' bed. It is a supercab so a bit shorter than a crew cab. Also ordered it with 3.55 axle to get a little better mpg than 4.10's. 3.55 diesel is plenty of power in my opinion.

We are not pulling 5er's....... yet.......... but I've also never pulled using a diesel. The new 6.6L gas seems to work for our application. Great as a daily driver. I'm a DIY home mechanic so maintenance for me was a big deal and a diesel scares me b/c of my lack of knowledge. High pressure fuel system, multiple fuel filters, turbos, 2 batteries, 50 gallon oil changes (j/k) ect. so my lack of experience ultimately drove me away from purchasing a diesel. I also commute a relatively short distance for work (10 miles) and I've been told this is bad for a diesel? Is there any truth to that, I'm not sure. Overall, very happy with my purchase, just wanted to share.

Just picked up the new TV this morning. 2021 Sierra 3500 4WD SRW Longbed. Coming from a 2019 Silverado 3500 I’m interested to see how the new 10-speed transmission does compared to the old 6-speed.

Nice and congrats ! Keep us posted on your feedback comparing your 19 to the 21......looking forward to reading that about the tranny and much more. Others who have posted regarding the new 10 speed are really liking it.
