    Rubber Slide Seals

    Has anyone replaced the rubber seals around a slide? It looks like it should be an easy and inexpensive repair (yeah, the inexpensive part is tongue in cheek). I have a couple areas where they are ripping but they appear to just slide into a channel with a screw to keep them from moving.

    Can I ask how old are they ? Seems like that is pretty quick for them to fail

    16 months.

    They should be a very easy replacement. I'm not so worried about replacing them as much as what I should do to prevent the new ones from doing the same thing.

    PS. I just spoke with Jerry in service and he is sending me 4 new ones. This is the greatest customer service company I have ever dealt with I swear!

    Paul--looks to be your dining slide.......fridge slide and/or bedroom slide has no damage or ? Jerry have any idea as to why the seals are tearing ? Your pointing this out and sharing pictures is the first I have seen this.

    It is both my dining and kitchen slides and I actually forgot to ask him when I spoke on the phone about what the cause might be but when I sent him my mailing address I did ask him about prevention for the future and I'll let you know what he says.

    Poppy, the good news is you're out "camping" enough for the slides to be open a lot for the seals and wipers to get that dried out. I think I'm going to increase my applications of 303.
