Disc brakes would be nice to have, but they don't correct an overloaded truck.

That is true. Advocating for disc brakes is simply about risk-reduction when folks don't want to admit their blunder and address the overload. That being said, when the trailer outweighs the truck, discs are probably a very good idea regardless.

How many times in a thread do you have to push your opinion onto others. His truck his trailer and his problem if there is one. Let it go.

Better question....How many times do you need to post something about me expressing my opinion? If you don't like what I'm posting, either counter will something that proves me wrong, or go right on past my post and do/say whatever you want. Let's clear the air here. 1. You aren't my father, so I don't need to be lectured by you! 2. You aren't a moderator either, so fortunately you have no say over me posting opinions or facts. YOU, are the one that needs to let it go and quit concerning yourself with what I post. When questions are asked on the forum, I will answer them if I have knowledge of the subject. I will answer them based on what I know, but sometimes based on experience also. Like I said, if you don't like it, either ignore or keep it to yourself.

I've been to many RV parks and all types of CG's. I have almost always seen 3/4 ton trucks pulling over their door sticker weight. Yet I've very rarely seen an RV wreck in my 50 years of driving. Maybe one every 5 years and even at that I have no clue as to why the wreck happened.
Last trip out to an Ore St park a few weeks back I saw 1/2 a dozen 2500's towing big 5th wheels. Cedar Creeks, Montana's, etc. Right or wrong it really seems to have no bearing on dangerous.

"His problem" - until he's driving an unsafe rig on the roads with my family.

I was referring to bigger disc brakes on my TV not the trailer.

I know. I think the trailer would be even better (but it might cost more).

Barry, thanks for posting the picture of your sticker. You do in fact have a GVWR of 9200 lbs. Based on your CAT scale numbers, you were 780 lbs overloaded at that weigh event. If I am understanding you correctly, that was done on your way home and with an empty trailer. It will obviously get worse the more stuff you load into the trailer. I know it's not something you wanted to hear, and I've recently been criticized from another member for pointing out those things, but I will continue to share information and be honest about it if that person wants to know.
