There are dozens and dozens of Super 7's in Atlanta, including Caterhams. They all show up at a Fall car show at Panoz' Chateau Elan estate out by Road Atlanta. There's even one Caterham that's a polished aluminum finish that looks like it's chrome. I spotted one deceased guy, and his wife was trying to sell a cherry Super 7 and a like new Elan--but that was many years ago.

I went over to Barber's motorcycle and car museum at his incredible race track in Birmingham last year. They had purchased a racing Lotus Europa twin cam B Sports Racer and were putting it into the museum after a complete reconditioning. My roommate owned and raced the car at Talladega one year Barber Motorsports Museum has 1500 motorcycles and a huge number of race cars, and it's well worth the detour if anyone is driving south to Florida. He also has the best Lotus collection outside of the U.K. The sports car track is probably the most beautiful racing facility in the world.

I had a 1971 Dodge Challenger with a 383 engine. It was a very beautiful car in styling, but the body was completely junk. Engine and tranny were great, however.

My friend posted pictures of her son's Mustang online. He drove the car from Nashville area to Bristol Raceway for a big drag shootout this past Fall. He was towing an enclosed trailer with a set of drag slicks and a Powerglide transmission in it. The street car's best times in the 1/4 mile were 7.5 seconds at something over 180 mph. He put the street tires back on it, changed the trannys and drove it 300 miles back home with the air conditioning on. I've never heard of such a thing. The kid works at a high tech shop in Spring Hill that has a dyno--and their customers are music stars and the like.

I have a 1967 Chevelle SS 396 that has been in storage for around 25 years along with a 1945 Willys MB that needs resurrecting. The Chevelle is one of two that I have owned where the first was purchased new by my father and given to me as my first car at 16. Lucky to be alive today. Lol.

Got to spend some time this past weekend with a new Reflection owner that I met through this forum. At a little race track called Sebring . . . you might have heard of it . A vintage racing weekend. Mike is definitely a “car guy” by any way you measure it. Full race 1974 Porsche 911 RSR!! I will leave it to him to fill in the details.

Thanks Rob, I am really glad you could make it over on Saturday,Its amazing how effective this forum is from answering questions to connecting people across the country. As far as the car goes we built this 911 from a street car in 2005 and have raced it all over the US, Sebring is our home track but have had the pleasure of Indy, Circuit of the Americas (Formula 1 track in Austin Tx), Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta,Road America, Daytona, and many others, This car is a 2100# go kart with 430hp on 14" slicks, We primarily like to do the endurance races but there's always several sprint races at each event as well. I will post some more pics later.
I hope you enjoy this forum as much as I do, with guys like Rob that can help with upgrades and the great detail of how to do it is invaluable !
    Thanks again
