I've had both good and bad results with Michelin on different vehicles. On my 2018 F-350 CC Diesel dually, I am saying good luck. I have about 35K on the originals by rotating them from rear to front. 15K intervals since it involves dismount/mount. I am expecting 45k out of the set which from what I was told by others , will be about 15K past what is normal.

Fundamentally, you are not going to get tremendous longevity out of dually tires towing heavy unless you are committed to doing what it takes to rotate properly (breaking them off the wheels and cycling around). Ditch individual balancing and run Centramatics at all corners to handle that, and Crossfires on the rears make a huge difference in wear. Also, the more luggy the tire, the more the fronts will scallop. Speaking from experience... Many a truck with Michelin, Bridgestone, and have Nitto EVO Grapplers currently on the dually.

Your dilemma was my dilemma, Michelin LTX or Cooper. Third time replacing tires on my Chevy 3500 pulling 18k trailer. I really really liked the info on the Coopers, but chickened out and bought Michelin's one more time, just because they were good tires, for me. Hopefully in a few months of towing you will post a review of the Cooper's. My new truck has 19.5 tires on it, probably have to change them out this fall before our winter travels.

I'll probably know a lot more after we complete our trip out west this Sept. I'm looking at approx. 5000+ miles round trip, including our travelling from N.P. to N.P.

In fact, the Cooper AT3-LTs were just a bit more money than the Michelins would have been.....so I didn't base my decision on $$ alone. Anyway, they will be in the Tire Discount store by the end of the day today, or first thing tomorrow, so the "Beast" will have new shoes by the end of the day Tuesday. Thanks again to all that responded.
Thanks for doing the research. I too, have been looking at the the Coopers. Also the Falken tires.
    Good luck with your choice.
I have been running the Crossfires and they seem to help keep the tires equal. KEN

Ahh, I love the smell of new rubber.....and there is LOTS of rubber to smell. Six tires total, plus a pic of my homemade valve extender hose bracket....

    Front tire..

    Rear tires....

And my homemade bracket. I tried to buy something to hold the Stainless Extension hose from the inner wheel to the outer wheel, and everything that I looked at just seemed like junk or wouldn't fit like I wanted it to. So, a couple of years ago, I bought some 1/8" thick by 1" wide aluminum and made my own. I figured out a length that would work, bent the inner and outer pieces to fit the curvature of the wheel, then drilled holes and bolted the two pieces together inside of the slotted holes of the aluminum wheels. The back piece has a hole big enough for the stainless hose to fit through easily, and the front piece is drilled just large enough to slip in the end of the hose extension, then put the nut on it to hold it in place. If I'm not mistaken, I made these in late 2017 or early 2018 and they have not moved. Yesterday, when I had the new tires put on, I left the bracket on the outer wheel, and had the tire guy duct tape the end of the valve extension hose to the inside of the inner wheel while they were balancing the tire/wheel. That way, the entire thing was balanced and no surprises when the wheels got mounted back up and installed on the truck. It's as smooth as a baby's butt......

Few questions---- 1. Are they quiet on the highway? 2. Looking at the corrosion on your rear outer, have you had any issues with leaks at the valve stem? 3. If so, what did you do to remedy?

They are very quiet....I really can't even hear them. As far as the corrosion around the valve stem....no leaking issues so far. I will say that there is a Class Action Suit against Ford right now that involves that very issue......dissimilar metal reactions AND causing a leak. I have not joined that as I am not having any leakage issues. If I'm not mistaken, it involves 2016 (my model year) and goes up through 2018. And it might be even earlier than the 2016.....but I'm not sure of that.

Those Coopers look great Xrated. Stock size or did you go larger? 34K miles on my factory Michilin's and they still look good. Like the more aggressive tread on the Coopers.
