I carry a Viair 450P-RV. It is portable and connects directly to the battery. They recommend having the motor running when in use. It comes with 2 30' coiled air hoses so can reach all tires on either unit. Operates at pressure up to 150PSI.

I have been thinking about 1 of these, https://www.toolnut.com/porter-cable...CABEgKbJ_D_BwE looks like pretty reasonable capabilities, 2CFM at 90 PSI is not to shabby for a little unit. It does require 120VAC to run but with a small generator or a fairly robust inverter it could work for roadside or boondocking.

Any one have one to give a review?

I keep this in the toolbox of my truck, along with a 20' set of jumper cables.

I also keep a good tire gauge with me as well.

I have that unit and I am very pleased with it. I inflate my trailer tires to 110 PSI and this handles that well. I always use it with AC power, but have had no issues. Relatively compact.

I just posted this in another thread on the same subject. See my web page at http://www.klenger.net/aircompressor.html for info on the Craftsman 1.2 Gallon AirBoss™ Oil-Free Air Compressor

Funny this topic came up. I just put a rarely used 3 gal pancake style compressor in rear storage compartment of my trailer. I had about 50 feet of 3/8 in air hose which also got placed in the same compartment. I just need to pick up a tire chuck for trailer and bike tires. Maybe a blower and some air fittings for balls and the like. Nothing too crazy. I had a 12 volt Slime air compressor. It takes forever to fill up tires. The Reflection doesn't have a 12 volt outlet. We are generally never far from 120 volt power so have this unused compressor made perfect sense.
