Have Furrion 3 camera 7 inch.
Big screen is better. I have a fairly complex back in to my house, being that the power company put a pole 3 feet into my driveway and I have overhangs on the house and am often doing it solo.
Plus Thing and Idiot love to run behind trailers because they are the dumbest smart dogs I've ever had.

This is on a 45 foot toy hauler. Zero issues with reception.

I have the Furrion 7 in 3 camera system. If I did it again, I'd only buy the 1 camera (rear) system. The side cameras are very nice, but you can't display all 3 cameras at the same time when you're driving, you have to choose, and 99% of the time, I'm on the rear view. I actually started attaching (zip ties) the 7in monitor to my rear view mirror, that makes it very natural, you look where you normally do and you see what's behind the trailer.
I like the system, but I don't use it much for backing up, as others have said, wife, or the old GOAL (get out and look) system. There's just not enough resolution on the camera or a wide enough view to feel comfortable relying on it exclusively for something like backing into a site. As an observation system though, if it broke tomorrow, I'd buy it again (the rear camera anyway). It's great for seeing when you're clear another driver and can move over, for example, and pretty much completely closes your blind spots (between the rear view camera and the big tow mirrors on my Ford).

Mine displays all three while driving. It's in the option menu.

Thanks for all the responses, very helpful!
I'm still on the "do I really need it" fence but the rear-view while driving in heavy traffic for lane changes seems to be a big factor.
Looking at several brands and the reviews I didn't see anything that stood out until I read a older thread here where one person said my next camera will be a VisionWorks which got me looking at it. The interesting thing about VisionWorks is it's a AG company that makes cameras for commercial AG equipment which is a very harsh environment. Not long ago I was looking for a rear-view spotter camera for my tractor (example: for stump grinder) and could not find a market for it. A VisionWorks AG camera is exactly what I needed but never found it at the time I was looking. Very impressive specs and I like that it's made in USA.

That’s been our experience too. I appreciate it on the road at times, but maybe not enough to bother if doing it over. Now and then I’ll see a small car right on my bumper. It’s also nice when deciding when to pull in when passing. We bought a cheap one (Douxury) and it works well with great resolution and minimal buffering. It was only while reading this thread that I realized I almost never look at it when backing.
I tend to watch the mirrors a bit, but mostly focus on my wife’s verbal directions. Stevie Wonder could do it with her help! It’s like flying on instruments in that what you can see isn’t very useful and could even interfere with what you need to do.
We both get out to decide where we want to end up, I get back in, she dials up the car with her phone, and I follow her turn-by-turn directions over the car’s audio system. With practice as a team it’s become a smooth, precise drill. The camera is probably helpful if you’re backing without a spotter.Last edited by dkayak; 10-04-2021 at 07:13 AM.

I went with the Furrion for simplicity, and at the time any competition did not have clean adapter bracketry. I really have no compliants with the Furrion. It's been a very rare circumstance that I have experienced picture lag. I utilize the rear camera all of the time when backing in, but I likely have a home base driveway different from many considering the winding path it takes lined with immovable obstacles (boulders). I also use it as I would normally a rearview mirror.
I would love for Furrion to have a more adaptable platform because it would be great to be able to record the video ala rearward dashcam or bring it into the factory display.Rob & Nikki + Cloverfield

I waited a year until recently buying a Haloview. The determinate for me was I have gone to the campsite early by myself (i.e. sans DW and kids) and I was jumping in and out of my TV constantly or I am traveling with my young kids. My kids are fine for campsite assistance - they are old enough; however I then had a situation in a busy gas station where I got blocked in and had to back up. Without an adult there to help back me back up, it was nerve racking. So for me it is a "back-up" to normal situations.

Haloview three camera setup here (rear and side markers). Not a necessity but worth it for me because:
1. Changing lanes in ATL traffic (or any city for that matter) can be made a bit less hazardous when you can verify a gap.
2. I oftentimes am alone going ahead of DW and kid or just taking rig to storage. Cameras are quite helpful when backing into storage between two enormous fifth wheels. I also have the rear set downward and know that I'm a fixed distance once object is at bottom of screen, e.g. 18" from fence when fence gets to bottom of the screen.
3. Haloview cameras have audio so helps me to hear DW when/if she's directing me.
None of those are "must have" reasons, but I do "like to have" so do.
I used a BuiltRight dash mount and 76 Designs ball/arm mount for the screen. It doesn't block much (or any) of my view out the windshield.

You may also want to look at Tadi Brothers. They got their start in the trucking industry. If it will work on a semi it should work on an RV. I was heavily leaning towards their equipment when looking before I decided I did not need one. I believe the reviews also gave them high marks for US based customer service.
