Wow! . . . this thread is a “blast from the past". Interesting how many from early 2015 are still on this forum . . . and, how many are not.
Dan, thanks for "reviving" it .

You think how really few of us there were on the forum when Paul started this relative to today. It is a fun thread and we'll see with all the folks added in recent years what they share. Will be fun to see the previous rigs not to mention clothing and guys with hair......lots of hair ! Not so much any more !

This is my parents first camper , bought new in the mid 70's. Dutch Craft with bunks , mom and dad with 5 boys.
Camped in tent for quite a few years. Went from the TT to a Winnebago Cheiftan. Will try to find picks of our first 3 trailers.

We got a late start. This was our first RV. We purchased it in the summer of 2010. In 2015 we purchased our first Grand Design, a Reflection 337. It was very rare to come across another Grand Design at that time. Things sure have changed.

I love the old pictures. Please keep them coming.

Hi John, I assume you're referring to the picture I posted at the beginning of this thread with my Cougar. Yup, you are correct. One of our favorite places. Here's another from with our first 5th wheel.

I forgot, here is our first fully "unself-contained" camping unit on the left before Carol and I were married. Sears tents were on sale in the late 70s and whole family bought some the way it looks. We still have it today. Carol and I had separate sleeping bags.

Not actually mine but the first camper I remember was this Dodge Class C my parents owned. Rode in it countless times up Hwy 50 to Lake Tahoe as a kid.

Here's my first camper. A Starcraft popup pulled by a '91 Ford Taurus wagon. First night I woke up soaking wet as the material wicked moisture and since I touched the sides both fore and aft while sleeping I was soaked, too! This one didn't last long as it didn't have even a cassette toilet.

This third and last picture was our second camper, a Coleman popup towed by a '95 Ford Windstar. (Actually was a good combo!) We used the heck out of this thing and have a lot of good memories camping in the Black Hills (South Dakota), Grand Lake (Colorado) and numerous other locations out west.

    Howard,
The very first camping trip I remember (after cabin rentals) was in an Apache pop up, ALL canvas top. My mother looked at the center pole and decided it was a convenient, built-in clothes rack. It rained. Need I say more?
