    Grounding Project

I decided to properly ground my RV after I saw the small and loose #12 or #14 screw that is the basis for grounding my rig...

The first pic shows the original factory installed ground screw compared to the 3/8" bolt stainless bolt I replaced it with.
It was a simple project, but you can see the difference in the bolt that replaced the screw. All new parts are stainless steel. I sanded down to bare metal, put it all together with washers and nuts, super tightened it from both sides and then applied rust inhibiting primer and paint.

Well done! poor grounding is the source of more electrical problems than many people realize.

As someone who keeps 7 trailers and numerous vehicles road worthy, I completely agree. I have fixed boat trailer lights several times for people, and it’s almost always the ground.

Can you share a link to your crimper? I've been thinking about getting one.

Thought I would chime in here
This is the crimper I got for my solar/battery bank project https://temcoindustrial.com/th0005-v...h-32-die-sets/

It worked well on my test lug. They have others too https://temcoindustrial.com/tools/cutters-crimpers/
