Awesome trip, DMB in a spectacular area of the country........keep having lots of fun, creating memories, and sharing pictures.

Ken - Seattle was the worst on our West Coast swing about 15 years ago. We and Carol's parents were each driving 31" class Cs at that time. We knew driving and parking in Seattle was not RV friendly to say the least with the very narrow and busy streets and no RV parking but seeing/doing the Space Needle was on this list. Each RV took up 4 parking spots in the Needle parking lot. We tried to get by with buying just 2 spots and the parking lot lady showed her extreme dis-pleasure with our math !

Crater Lake is one of my favorite places. It's never the same. I've been there between 300 and 400 times. Probably closer to the 400 mark.

Where are you in Bend Dave?
If you have time, go to Sisters, Oregon. Saturday; scenic highway 242 opens for the season. The road was the wagon road in the 1800's.
NO RIGS.There is a 32 foot total limit.
The road goes between to large wildernesses. 30 feet off each side, is wilderness. The top area is all lava.

Dee Wright Observatory. Built by the CCC in the 1930's. It has windows to help you find the mountains.

ENJOY and ask if you need any info.

PS: It might be difficult to find a site to camp at without reservations on the Oregon Coast. KEN

    Thanks for the info orbiker!

We're currently staying at the Thousand Trails Bend-Sunriver park for 11 days, mostly just so we can get some packages shipped to us and take in some sight-seeing.
We wanted a safe place to drop the rig while we explored the area ( like Crater Lake a couple hours South ).
We rented a couple of high-end electric bicycles today and rode some trails along the Deschutes River, it was pure Nirvana. I swear Oregon is going to be tough to beat.
I'm half tempted to just settle down here!

As far as cruising up the coast of Oregon goes, we'll be aiming for boon-docking spots not RV parks along the coast so hopefully we'll be alright.
I also realize we probably won't find any "along" 101, which is fine.
We'll be crusing up 101 for the scenery, so it's ok if we have to drive inland a bit every night to camp.

Thanks for the photos and suggestions, much appreciated.

Hi my wife and 2 kids (4&2months) just started full timing in a 312 BHTS We are stationary for now and don’t have a truck just yet. I’m trying to learn about regular maintenance on the rig if anyone has a pdf or spreadsheet I’d love to see that. I am looking forward to learning more and just overall enjoying the downsizing of it all.

Hello everyone, My wife and I just started out our fulltime RV life a week ago in a Solitude 375RES-R. We will be stationary for 2 more years so she can finish getting her degree but then its travel time. Have enjoyed the forum so far so I figured I would finally chime in and say hi.

Correct me if I'm wrong gang, but I don't think it is considered "full-timing" if you're stationary for a few years... pretty sure that's just called living in a camper.
From what I've seen and heard, Full-Timers are people that live in an RV and travel full-time. Case in point... https://www.your-rv-lifestyle.com/fulltiming.html

Then again call yourself a tomato, I guess it doesn't really matter, at least you're a Grand Design owner, congrats!

Since full timing is an urban term I suppose it can be applied to both cases. That's kind of like the terms used for putting an additional trailer behind your 5th wheel, is it double towing or triple towing. My brother in law considers us "trailer trash" because we don't live in a house. I find him pretty amusing.
