I just installed that on my trailer. I had to have it protrude about an inch on the curb side in order to access the rear storage hatch but I can live with that.
I'm not in the doom and gloom crowd with the ladder. GD says it's good for 300 lbs, that's good enough for me

Any pictures of it on the BAL spare tire carrier? How is it attached to the carrier?

Thanks... it looks like extra brackets were added to keep the tank in place. I like this option and will have to look into doing something similar.

I didn't add any extra brackets, only a ratchet strap like the one in the photo. The front wheel fits in between the two rails and the rear wheels are to the outside of the rails so the tote would should not slide off. I'll try to get a photo when I get by where it's stored.

Thanks but you don't really have to. I don't have that same tank I have the blue 25 gallon tank which is slightly different. I do like that BAL spare tire carrier and probably should have bought it last year. It's out of stock on Amazon but I'm sure I'll find it elsewhere.

I used to carry my tote on a ladder on a previous TT. The clamps that hold the L shaped carrier legs to the ladder protrude a bit and wore a hole in my tank.
My expensive lesson from this experience is that the HDPE plastic they use is practically impossible to repair.
I now carry my tank in either the front storage bay (no Gen prep) or in the bed of my truck.

Good question as to the ability of the ladder to handle continuous weight with the repeated, jarring force associated with hours at 65mph. Different then handling a 200 pound, short term load while still.

That said, the CAMCO corporation sells this: http://www.camco.net/rv-ladder-mount...ilingual-51492

Not sure what type of small print comes along with that, but CAMCO is a company with deep enough pockets to be worried about being sued.

All that said, I bought an 18 gallon tote because it is small enough to fit in my front storage area.
