    Setting Ford Truck GAIN controller

When towing a Imagine 2500rl travel trailer and setting the Gain controller for the travel trailer brakes on a 2020-21 ford F-150 truck, is there a confirmation button you need to confirm the Gain number OR is it automatically saved in the Tow Haul screen?

I have no problem adjusting the Gain, I can't seem to find any button to push to save the setting?
Its my first truck so maybe unlike the older models there is no SAVED button.
Hope this makes a little sense.

If you know anything about this I would appreciate a shout out.
Not sure but I think I drove 500 miles with only the truck brakes working.
Actually it worked out okay but I know this should not be the norm.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes once you make a choice in settings for the range ( low, medium, high ) it is saved by default at the last choice. The gain setting on the sliding scale set at the controller will show when you go to trailer setting as well a scale of 1-10. I.E. on my truck I set the range in settings to the low range and the gain to 6.0.

It while save the gain in memory. Depending on which trim you have, you can also create different profiles for different trailers which will keep your settings and keep track of mileage which is convenient for different maintenance like bearing. I have a profile for my 22mle, my boat and my utility trailer. It's pretty easy to setup in the trailer setup screen. Again this depends on your trim level. I have the 2019 Lariat.

You should also thest your tt brakes by rolling (in a straight line) preferably in a quiet area and only sliding the lever on the trailer brake controller. If the tt brakes lock up, then you need to lower the gain, if they don't then increase. It's normal for them not to be able to lock up at first even on max gain. The shoes needs to form on the shoes which takes a bit of mileage.

Then you should have that same option to do so as I doubt that they would remove that from 2019.
