On properly prepared membrane, Eternabond is a permanent repair. Understand it is just rebranded commercial roofing product. You cannot thermally weld such thin TPO in the field, so this is what you have.

I just watched wandering weekends video. I wonder how difficult a task it becomes to for example change out a vent that has been eternabonded to the roof? I don’t have any experience with that adhesive...

I just watched that as well. And was thinking the same thing. I’m definitely doing the “bullet proof” on this before
this season starts for us, but wonder about any maintenance around those roof fixtures. I guess you could just cut it and re-eternabond it when done.

Little late to this discussion. I too have had a similar breach on the roof. Totally agree with the Eternabond comments. I also used about a one inch wide skim coat of Flex Seal. FA pint of Flex Seal is about $18 or so. I'd tape off the area with painters tape and put on a couple of thin coats - a little goes a long way. Just a little extra insurance IMO.

Thanks to everyone who has been so helpful! I have been working very long hours, so covered the hole in the mean-time, and back out this weekend to make a more permanent repair..
Can’t say enough “thank you’s” for all of the group’s suggestions!...
