Yesterday I ordered a Curt CT 19100 RV bumper receiver hitch from hitchanything.com

The price (no tax, no shipping charge) was $65.57

These appear to be the best bumper mount receivers. This was for a 4 inch bumper. They also made one for a 2 inch bumper--make sure you order the larger for your trailer.

Swagman 2 bicycle carriers "should not be mounted on the bumper of a travel trailer or fifth wheel. The combined weight of the carrier and the bicycles exceeds the capacity of the bumper."

If you mount one of their carriers on your rv, their warranty is void.

There are carriers that allow you to hang 2 bikes on your ladder. We have not yet decided what to do with our bikes on our Reflection 337.

I came across this post and was wondering if you could use a swagman 2 if the combined weight of two bikes and the rack was under 100lbs?
And, what did you decide to do about your bike rack situation.

If the combination of the bikes and carrier is at or under 100 lbs you can mount to the bumper.

I just talked to JD at Grand Designs and was told that the rear bumper was actually rated to hold 300 lbs. as per GD specs. Lippert mfg. told me that it was only rated for 105 lbs UNLESS I had a bicycle carrier installed by their own service center but didn't know where one was. The Reflections owners manual says " The rear bumper of your RV is not designed to carry cargo" , bicycles are cargo right??? I am totally confused now. I am in the process of having my selling dealer get me something in writing stating that someone will stand behind attaching a bike rack to the bumper.

Ordered one and it doe's not fit 2 bikes unless they are smaller than 26" wheels.

Does anyone use a bike rack that mounts to the rear ladder?

I tried one once but the problem was that the handle bars would hit the trailer wall. I now use a bumper mount, works great.
