    Rear jack clearance

I have the 4 point leveling system and wondered if people have had issues with the rear jacks being a little too low when in the stowed travel position? I went down a pretty steep driveway today and even though I tried to take it at a 45 degree angle one of the rear jacks lightly touched.

Mine seem really low as well but I've never had a problem hitting them on anything. Mine seem about 6" too low just eyeballing them.

I also have a 303 and never had an issue. My F350 is raised so it makes the rear a little lower but still ok. I had thought the same when i purchased it but all is well.

    Enjoy your new camper !

Mine show about an inch of the extension shaft when fully retracted. Tried to use the powered manual mode unsuccessfully. Wonder if following the instructions for a manual operation would get them completely retracted. Might give this try when I return from this trip..

I'm pretty sure that you can raise them by remounting using a different set of holes if you're concerned that they may make contact.

On my 337, I did look assuming just that but they appear to already be mounted in the highest position with the motor almost touching whatever is above it.

Mine touched at a gas station once. I moved it all the way up and no issues since then with lots of room when I drop them. I also use blocks if needed. Better safe then sorry

Looked under the 337 and it appears the rear jack can be raised at least one if not two bolt holes...

Is "Homing" the process to use to get the exposed part of the rear jack to retract completely back into the jack assembly?

I too have often thought that, when retracted, it seems like there should be more ground clearance for the rear jacks. Haven't had any issues so far (knocking on my head) with the exception of a few times having the auto level give me an "Out Of Stroke" message. From memory, I *think* the rear jacks on my 337 do not have as much stroke as the front jacks. If I'm wrong - whip me with a wet noodle.

I raised both of ours as soon as I got the trailer home. As I remember right the driver's side was raised 3 holes and the off-street side 2. I don't remember what was in the way but there was something above the jack head that restricted the one side more than the other. To prevent the dreaded "out of stroke" message we always use blocks under the jacks.
