We have noticed this problem with a new 260, I in fact inquired if the jacks could be mounted higher as there are holes in the brackets. Called GD and posed question but got no response. To back in to my driveway there is a 6 degree upslope and the jacks hit before the wheel are on the driveway. I believed the dealer also set my hitch up wrong as the trailer is slightly nose high. 2021 Shortbed F350 Fx4

Did they charge you for the replacement jacks? If so you mind telling me how much?
Mine sit 4 1/2 inches off the ground
Thanks

So I measured ground clearance when hitched and it was 4.5’’ (The same as my 1976 Triumph Spitfire). Somewhere on the thread is how GD determines clearance with a string from the tire to the rear of the unit. Clearance on jacks from factory is 6”, I can’t move them up higher because they would hit the underside. We have adjusted my OEM Companion 1” lower (I was towing nose high), so I will check the clearance with the new hitch setting. They still look awfully low.

I sent an email to one of the VPs. I his name is Jerry McCarthy. I explained that my rear jacks, although within the angle of departure, were 5 1/2" off the ground. They sent me rear jacks that were 2" shorter. Installation was easy, unbolt and unplug, and there was no charge. I understand some guys have had issues getting them, so I don't know if GD has changed their policy on this.

Thanks for the post, trying to get thru to GD now. Even with adjusting my hitch down I have barely 5.5” of clearance
