Question Porch Light and Scare Lights

Maybe a dumb question... We are in the process of picking up a Reflection 30BH and I just noticed that the trailer does not have a porch light or a scare light. Has anyone added either of these? How hard is it to fish wires in the ceiling to provide a "factory" install?

The porch light is LED and attached to the awning. Ours is attached on the trailer side, the newer ones may be on the outer edge of the awning. They are obnoxiously bright. If you have someone snooping about they will be instantly blinded if you turn it on.

We noticed both were lacking when we ordered our 337, it fact I talked to Jerry McCarty about adding them and he told me no go. While you do have the small blue LED under the steps (at least we do on the 337) and it is labeled "Porch Light" on the control panel the LED strip light under the awning is the only decent light on the door side. And as Gary says above the strip light is very bright.
I did add a scare / motion sensing light on the off-door side of our 337. Really was not too big of a project. Drilling the initial hole thru the wall to run the wire was a little intimidating on a brand new trailer but with some good measurements it worked out fine. At least on a 337 there is a light under the overhead cabinet above the stove and I pickup power from it.

You can see from the last picture that the LED strip is pretty bright.

I plan on adding the same lights on both rear corners this spring. I should be able to run the wire thru the rear overhead cabinet and pick up power from the light under the cabinet. I'm also thinking I might add one more on the right front corner and wire it thru the closet.

Del & Vickie--great idea and install on the street side light ! You are correct that the curb side door awning LED strip is very bright. I seem to recall at least one forum member installing a dimmer switch.......I think. Maybe someone who recalls this if I remember correctly can share the link or knowledge if it can be done.

I know working with LED's on my truck that you will need a sepical Dimmer Switch for the LED's.

Considerable discussion about LED dimmers on this thread . . . and, yes the awning LED strip can be dimmed.
