    Scratched my trailer!

Camping last weekend in the National Forest Service campground (no I won't tell you which one) that we frequent very often...I scratched my trailer while backing it up into my site. I think I'm going to have to patch the gelcoat and finish sand it to get it back straight. I also clipped a few trees with my cap on the way out. I am going to have to get used to such a big rig!

    Re: Scratched my trailer!

I feel your pain Chris. On the way home from our last camping trip, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for breakfast, and while inside eating, someone backed into our Solitude. Needless to say, we (I) didn't notice it until we got home. It smashed the cargo door on the driver's side and scratched the camper real good. It's at our dealer now being repaired and we can not wait to get it back.

OK guess it's time to come clean. While double towing I jack knifed the 4 wheeler trailer going forward..yes going forward in a tight turn. I didn't know you could do that. Didn't hurt it bad. Just a heads up for any one double towing.

    Re: Scratched my trailer!

Getting scratches on our new Solitude is awful. I think the first scratch is always the worst one and I think we have all done it at one time or another. Those tree limbs are just to low sometimes. Oh well I think the penance telling us all to go camping is the best idea yet. I plan on doing that in another week. Going to Shenendoah to take up some foilage. I really hope the person that hit you in the parking lot did not do a lot of serious damage. It is really sad when people cannot own up when they hit somebody elses vehicle. I have had that happen to me and it is very frustrating.

Oh no...I hope you're able to get it repaired and looking all pretty again!
No dents or scratches yet (knock on wood), but....
Due to my bad directions We did get a little bump on the cab of the truck.

That sounds about right for reapirs, they are very expensive. I had a tire blowout on my other RV and it cost me $800 to fix the body of it. I still think it is sad when someone hits another vehicle and just leaves. Yes thank goodness for insurance. Glad it is all fixed and looks like new again. Happy Camping.
