    Good slide motor source...found

Wanted to leave this here for the DIYers........

First post here. We Just bought a 2017 26rl. We are "Down-sizing and upgrading" our 35' 2007 Coachman Chaparral 321TS"

Anyway I had to replace the slide motor on our Coachman a couple weeks ago. I looked online (various RV parts sites, amazon, eBay, etc) and they were $300-$400. Called the local RV brick/mortar place...$850.

I eventually found Venture Mfg makes the slide assembly. I went to their website venturemfgco.com and called to verify part and got it for $165....BOOM!!!

Oh and the Chaparral is for sale.

Hi, Thanks for the info, putting it in my notebook. We picked up a 2017 26RL in Dec. It been so cold we haven't been able to do much with it. We are leaving in two weeks for AZ. Hoping we got every thing we need. Hope you enjoy your fifth wheel.

I would recommend you check the motor on YOUR coach and call them to verify. They were very helpful, and even emailed me a pic of what they were sending me so I could verify figment/mounting/etc.

That being said the (broken) motor on my slide had a sticker "Ser. No. 18-270085" which means it is an 18:1 gear reduction unit attached to the 12v motor. The part number for Venture Mfg. they sent me was 8910-81A.
