    New 315 RLTS

Bought a 315 RLTS today, picking it up next Saturday. Trading in a Jayco Whitehawk 27 DSRL. The Jayco served use well, but time for more room for longer stays. Took us a while to decide between the GD & a Jayco Eagle 330 RSTs. The Eagle had a couple more toys, but th GD seemed more functional. The toys while more flashy, didn't make up for a couple shortcomings. The microwave on the Jayco was tiny & several other small things made up our minds for us. Gonna be a long week.

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum. We have the 315's baby brother (297RSTS). They are beautiful rigs and you should get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Speaking of the microwave, we sure like the new addition of a convection microwave.

Since you're new to the forum, you many not know that there has been an ongoing issue with grease migrating out of the wheel bearing cavity and contaminating the brakes. Grand Design and/or Lippert will cover this problem under warranty, but I'd strongly suggest that you have your dealer inspect the brakes before taking delivery. Based on some polling data that we have, over half of the units being recently delivered have one or more wheels with contaminated brakes.

Congrats! We've had our 315 for about a month now. We really love it. Be sure to take Jim's advice. All 4 of my brakes were contaminated and had to be replaced. Grand Design customer service took care of it without hesitation. As a matter of fact, I had some trouble getting the TV to work with a sound bar system and GDRV customer service authorized me to purchase a new TV and reimburse me. The legendary Grand Design customer service lives!

We are off for our maiden voyage next week and are pretty excited. Here's hoping you hit many happy trails with your new 315.

We own a 2016 313, we love it. However, we wish we knew about the 315. It has some of the upgrades that didn't come in the 313.

Congratulations! Have a 2017 315RLTS, and have yet to see another TT that I like as well as the 315.

Welcome to the 315RLTS group and the GD Owners Forum.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your 315 as much as we enjoy ours.
