    Question on possible roof repair

I brushed some low hanging branches while backing in to the camp site and upon inspection, notice what appears to be light film substance scraped from the surface. There are no gouges in the roof, but for comparison it looks and feels like a very thin layer of silicon caulk; kinda rolls up into a ball between my thumb and index finger. The area affected is about the size of your index finger and a couple of inches from the back of the unit (a 337rls fifthe wheel). Is there any immediate concern or a need to treat the area with something? I appreciate the help.

Are you referring to the factory seam where the roof meets the rear wall and is sealed with self-leveling sealant? Could you provide a photo?

Sounds like a minor rub. I always keep a tube of Dicor sealant on hand.

Here is a version you can buy at camping world. Nearly all RV dealers carry it or something similar in the parts department. Sounds like you have an EPDM rubber roof. Whatever you decide to use make sure the label specifically says for rubber roofs. Most other sealants will eat a whole in the rubber.

I can't get pictures that show anything. The best I can describe it is that is look like I scraped a coating of something, thinner than plastic food wrap, off the surface about the size of your finger.

I think all newer models have the TPO roof, but in any case from what you described it doesn't sound like anything that's going to cause an issue.
