I found our heat duct laying on the basement floor last week after our maiden voyage of about 300 miles. It appears that there was nothing but tape holding it in place.

That appears to be the attachment method. I put mine back up with duct tape the screws.

So while crawling around in the basement reattaching the fallen duct with screws, I noticed that the main duct that runs across the top of the basement is not capped at the front !! Geez !! I am going to stuff some insulation between the end of the duct and the front cross member to keep the heat where it belongs.

I'll take a closer look today. All that I noticed is that the run dead-ends into the wall the separates the basement from the front battery compartment. Didn't pay attention to how it was terminated...

I just crawled out from the basement of our new, 2018 303. I opened it up to install both my inverter & surge protector. Yep, the duct had separated. Repaired it with a couple pop rivets.
The front of the duct, up to the bedroom/bath was, as stated, open. I removed the floor register and installed some alum flashing to block the end.
The heating system needs to be looked at & changed.

On our 337 RLS, the basement heat register is down stream of the bedroom register. Be careful that you don't block the duct work before that register.

We just picked up our unit and now this worries me! Guess we will be doing some investigative work when we head out this week! Any pointers on exactly where we should be checking?

The problem area is where the flex tube ducting from the heater connects into the rectangular floor ducting. On the 337 this is behind the basement wall. The connection is made approximately under the bathroom-bedroom wall.

When I was installing the surge protector in my 2018 337RLS I found the same thing. 4" hose from furnace to duct had 2 screws in it but one fell out so majority of heat was going to pass through. I added 4 screws and aluminum tape to cover up the flange. I noticed a lot of heat down there and found the tape on the end of the underbelly heat duct had come off. It's under the floor right behind where the toilet drain goes through the floor to the black tank. There's no way to get new tape down there so I'm wondering how to close up the end of the duct so more air gets pushed to the island. I'm thinking about using a can of spray foam.
