Actually it would be nice if GD had an option for a TST 507 with internal sensors. Maybe they could get a version with a image of a RV instead of the stand truck and trailer. This way they would be fully installed and tested before leaving the factory. If a repeater is needed it could be installed in the RV.

Janice, I contacted customer service about the need to upgrade the wheels (or not) to go to the Goodyear G614's. I recognize the increase pressure and that was the basis of my call. I was forwarded to Lionshead Wheel for the answer. Can you confirm whether or not the stock wheels (8 lug) on the 2014 Solitude 369RL can handle 110 psi.

    Hi Matt & Pam (@Lukeysh714),

Yes, they can. The Goodyear tires are installed on the same wheels. THe only difference is you need the steel high pressure valve stems installed.

I don't get it, these are bolt on items that are standard on other Reflection models, not special order parts that require redesign or modification
Did you install the 16 inch tires on your 303RLS yet? If so how is the clearance between the top of the tire and the coach? I have 4 nearly new Goodyear G614 tires I kept from my old 5th wheel and I just ordered 16 inch rims to install on my new 303rls that I took delivery on today. Now that I have the unit I see the clearance is less than 4 inches with the existing 15 inch tires which measure about 28 inches in diameter. My 16 inch tires are 30.08 inches as per the manufacturer. I am afraid the clearance will be less that 2 inches when I get the new tires installed. I read on this forum that 4" clearance is required. I was told the 16" tires would fit but now I am not so sure. I sure hope I have not wasted a lot of money.

I just attended the rv show here and spoke to the rep. He stated that the new 5th wheel trailers have 15 inch E rated tires on them. So if they realized the problem with the tires then the 2014 model I just bought should have those tires on it for safety's sake. It would be nice if the dealer could change them if they are not on my trailer. I have not picked up my trailer yet so I am wondering if I can tell them to do so with GD's ok. I hope someone at GD will let me know and give me a phone # so I can give it to my dealer for the ok. Thanks Jan.

    Hi @[email protected]

The Goodyear G614 is a LT235/85R16 tire vs. the standard build ST225/75R15. In addition to going to a 16" rim, the G614 is also a taller tire, not recommended for installation on the 303RLS due to the clearance requirement.

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

    Correct

A good tire pressure monitor system is essential on any trailer

I just discovered the nut on the steel valve stem came off when I unscrewed the green valve stem cap when checking the air pressure before trekking to TX for the winter. Bummer! Now I have to take the tire off and take it to a tire shop and have the steel valve stem replaced since the threads have been stripped (more than likely from the factory) and replaced before the trip. Also noticed that it had 10# less pressure than the other three on my Solitude 305RE. And I have less than 60 miles on the New 2015 RV since purchasing it. This is one more reason I always check my tires before leaving on a extended trip. This could potentially have been DISASTROUS. I will be putting a Tire Monitoring System (TMS) on soon.

Secondly, is anything less than 110# pressure considered UNDER-INFLATED on a G614 tire? I put 95# of pressure in the tires and torqued to 110#. Any feed back will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
