Campgrounds near Nashville?
We will be going to S.C. in June and will be stopping in Nashville. Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a place to stay near Nashville.

I'm going to follow this because we want to visit on this trip as well. The music scene in Nashville is awesome! We are headed to Austin in a few weeks for the music scene there as well. It doesn't get much better than Austin and Nashville!

KOA 2626 music valley dr. We have stayed here three times. Beautiful park right in the middle of everything. Also there is a bus every hour to take you downtown. Only place we will stay when we go to Nashville.

There are 3 or 4 campgrounds on Music Valley Drive to chose from. We have stayed at the KOA in the past. Plan to tour the Operyland Hotel while you are there.

We also liked Two Rivers, close to the Opry and not far from everything else.

The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is down the street from those campgrounds, and the Opry Mills Mall is on the other side of the hotel. You can also catch a meal and a live music show on the General Jackson Showboat that takes you downtown to the foot of Broadway.
Nashville is one of the premier tourist towns in the U.S., and the night life is nothing short of incredible. My favorite Monday night attraction is the Time Jumpers at 3rd and Lindsley--Vince Gill's hobby band. Tuesday night, my favorite is Doyle and Debbie at the Station Inn on S. 12th--hysterically funny comedians that are incredible singers too. Lower Broadway has huge restaurants, nightclubs and honky tonks--very popular.

We stayed at the KOA because it had amenities we thought the grand kids would like. They don't have access to a pool where they live so they pretty much zeroed in on the pool. Normally when we go to Nashville we stay at the Montgomery Bell State Park 40 miles west of Nashville. Bit of hike to do the downtown thing but we prefer forest to city.
