311BHS stain NOT sealed!

Hello, We just finished a week long inaugural trip with our new Reflection 311BHS, and my wife observed , while washing dishes at the island sink, that the dark stain of the island is not sealed! Some water had splashed/ dripped onto the wooden surface, and as she bent to retrieve something from the cabinet, she noticed dark stains on her clothing. Apparently, Grand Design only stained the panels and did not seal them. Stain revelation notwithstanding, it was a great first trip.Just a warning to others out there who may find this out the hard way as we did.I will have to look into some kind of sealer to prevent future occurrences. Not sure if the non sealing extended to other surfaces as well, but the island is definitely unfinished.

Claude--the 'black" stain coming off at various points on the center island and to a lessor degree the hutch black colored board was posted on the forum in mid 2015 through early 2016 on some GDRVs. It was not an issue with our early build 2014 nor has it come up as I recall in the last year or so. I would suggest contacting GDRV Customer Service 574 825 9679 or through the forum http://www.mygrandrv.com/for...139-GDRV-Missy (Missy from Customer Service) who responds to forum items in the "Tech Corner" section, to share your situation and get their feedback/solutions. This should be a warranty item covered at no cost to you either fixed by your dealer or you or another service center.

Update: True to their word, the fine folks at Grand Design followed through and supplied sealed replacement doors for the RV. I will be installing them myself this weekend. I did not request hardware, as I saw no need to replace the current hinges and pulls.The people at Grand Design were extremely accommodating, and promptly addressed my concerns, and expedited shipment of the replacement parts to me. Extremely satisfied with the outcome.

Claude--awesome !!!......another fantastic GDRV story where we owners have challenges and work directly with GDRV customer service and they promptly and courteously with results oriented action step up to the plate unlike any other RV manufacturer (at least that I am aware of.)
