Anode Road
Finally got the anode rod out of the hot water heater. I bought some P Blaster and let it sit for a while just get tapping, adding more P Blaster and using the wrench and finally it let loose. Oh well not much fun but I did get it out so I could drain the water. Never had that much trouble and hope I never do again.

Re: Anode Road
I never saw an anode rod in my Reflection, just a plastic drain cap. The Solitude has a larger tank I know, is your tank made of steel?

Re: Anode Road
Yes I have the 12 gallon Suburban tank which is steel that is why it has an anode rod. I think the Atwood tanks are aluminum and do not need an anode rod. Oh well just glad I was finally able to free it.

Re: Anode Road
Whoever installed originally probably was a little short on the Teflon tape and also over-tightened the plug...lots of Teflon tape or pipe dope and you shouldn't have any issue removing.
