LED Lights on front cap replacement

Front Cap LED light strips. Anyone know where the access behind the cap is for these light or do you open up the hole where the wire passes through? We have a 2018 Imagine 26' TrTr. THANKS

Seemed straight fwd but when I tried to connect them nothing. New side not working now and old side now off too. Anybody have success?

They are polarity sensitive. Mine were easy to replace. I soldered the connections so they would fit thru the holes so I did not have to enlarge them.

2018 376TH. Both front cap lights needed to be replaced within warranty. Did so and now the left side is out 6 month later. I advise GD to address this issue. It’s a poor reflection of the brand with the front cap lights blasting a message of “poor quality”. I purchased another set for $24 at a Sacramento dealer. Any advise on how to order these online so I can get a volume discount?

Bumping this thread to the top as I need to replace one of my front cap strips. Can I do the replacement all from the outside? Like other commenters have said, this seems like it should be straight forward. Any recommendations for aftermarket strips?

If you are careful and not loose the wire or pull it apart. the only way to fix it then is to remove the wall in the storage compartment. I ended up taking the wall out and replacing wall with plywood and screws so I would have future access.

For anyone that's done this I assume the factory clear leds only have 2 wires? I'd love to change mine over to RGB but no clue how to go about fishing the extra wires up to those original lights in our Momentum 31G if there's only 2 wires from Grand Design.

OK. My Momentum does that. I thought all GDs did.
So if replacing a white only strip with multi colors, how would one control it?
