    Direct tv dish install 397th

Looking to transfer our Direct Tv dish from old camper to new 397th. How are people running the wires? Running a line to the Wineguard travler box in living room and a line to the out side satalite input seems wrong.

We plan on using the the area above the Tv as a media cabinet. Direct TV box, Nintendo, Apple Tv, and all our internet stuff. Any suggestions on wiring would be greatly appreciated.

I have the Winegard Trav'Ler on the roof of my 318RST. I ran the wires into the vent on the roof and down into the basement where I cut a hole in the vent pipe. I mounted the Trav'Ler control box to the inside wall in the basement. I then just used the Sat input next to the Nautilus water panel to get the signal into the RV. I use the existing RV wiring to get the signal to the DirecTV Genie in the cabinet above the TV.

When the dealer installed my Traveler Dish they drilled a hole in the roof and ran it down the bathroom wall directly in the belly. this way it all clean and the Coax was convenient to splice into. i went with the wireless Genie boxes so i can have outside or give one to a friend next to me. so far working great. should have went this direction a long time ago.

Yes, using the Genie Mini Wifi is definitely the way to go for 2nd and subsequent TV's if you have a Genie receiver.
