JT Strong Arm install
hello,
First time 5er, first question of many to come. Does anybody use the JT Strong Arm stabilizers on their 303? It looks like there isn't a cross tube in the front to bolt the stabilizer bracket to. Do you just bolt it to the front storage floor? And do they work on Ground Control 4 point Auto Leveling system? Also do I really need them or will X-chocks be good enough or both? See that's three questions right there.

birdsnest - try the search tool in the upper right corner on "strong" + "arms". This has been discussed many times and there is a lot of information in these earlier threads. I didn't find that X chocks did much of anything . . . but many others use them. We find that step lock chocks, a pin tripod and slide supports under the right slide, works best for us. Discussion on these can also be found using the search tool.

birds--we have them dealer installed (both front and rear of RV) and yes, the two front arms run to the middle of the front compartment and are bolted to the front area of the compartment floor. I do not have any pictures but as I recall there are a few JTSA users on the forum and maybe they will post pictures if they have any. Our early build 303 does not have the auto leveling system and again, I trust someone who has this will respond to help.
They are very effective at steadying our 303 as others have shared as well and we do not use X-chocks but others do one or the other or both or use other options.

We have the JTs on our early build 303, and they help. They are just bolted to the floor, but I've retrofitted and added a 4' angle iron that it now bolts through inside.

Thanks rincon I looked at them but worried about the warranty issues. I e-mailed GD and they said JT's wont affect warranty as long as I install them correctly.

JT is a subsidiary of LCI, so no surprise that this is who they recommend. I know that many people install these with no problems . . . but I looked at those two half inch diameter holes to be drilled in the 2" wide lower flanges of both main frame rails . . . and said, no thanks. (just my opinion)

I installed JT Strong Arms on our early build 337. Helped dramatically. Bolted through front storage floor in center. Drilling the holes in frame was the hardest part, but a good drill bit, oil, and patience = no problems.

I installed the SteadyFast system from Hanscom Enterprises. The system was easy to install and takes about 30 seconds to engage. I would recommend.
