    What GPS is everyone using

    Hi!

I am using a 4" Garmin GPS. It's a 2008 model with life time maps but the data base seems to be outdated despite the updates. I am looking for a newer one that I can enter my height and length. Haven't found the right one yet. I tried the Magellan RV one but i find it comber some t use despite its indeothe database which is much better than the Garmin I have.

What have you found that works for you,

    Thanks

I use Google Maps on my Android RAZR phone. It's part of the Android system. I like it. It provides traffic also. There's no additional charges with it. It's maps are as current as Google Maps on the internet.

I also use the Map app on my Android. I like it, but even with the phone plugged into the USB jack in the truck, the GPS app draws so much the phone won't stay charged.

We use a Garmin NUVI, Truckers version. You can plug in all your numbers, such as Trailer height, Combined weight and length, and it will route you accordingly. If you have it on and not navigating, it will tell you if you are coming up to a weight restricted road or bridge or if there is an overpass that you can not fit under. If you want to have some fun, leave the GPS in truck mode and with out the trailer attached go towards a low bridge and watch it go nuts as you get to the bridge.

Thanks for asking the question...timely as the Garmin we use for navigating and hiking can't seem to lock on satellites anymore, so time for a new one.

I usually use my iPhone, but have been looking into the Garmin RV760LMT, that is built just of the RV lifestyle. An it can be used as a back-up camera with the optional wireless camera.

I have the 760, and love it.
Really like the voice command option.
    Bluetooth to cell phone.
    Also got the weather app.
    My 2nd Garmin, great products.
Wife has Tom-Tom built into her Subaru, and hates it.

We purchased a Rand McNally unit from Camping World, and did not like it at all. It was very prone to glitches and was not user friendly. We sold it for a very low price and went back to a basic Garmin unit.

We use the Garmin 760. This was our first trip with it and we like it very much so far.
