New Memeber, New 374TH to be picked up next week

    Hello to all,

Everything has finally fallen into place. Retired last week, my new GD374TH is waiting to be picked up, have found a beautiful camp near home for my first park, and friends are here to celebrate with me.

As way of introduction, I go by ChinaDave since I lived in China for many years but friends call me David. I have lived in many place around the world during my working days but now I'm ready to settle down and just travel in the America's. Pulling this building behind my truck is going to be a new experience and I'm looking forward to talking to anyone with experience. I see there are many newbie's like me out there, please share your good and bad experiences.

My first question to those of you that are full timing, is a clothes washer and dryer needed, and what are your recommendations on type and brand, and what experiences have you had?

Happy to meet you and looking forward to sharing experiences.

    David

Welcome and congrats Dave! We have the 376 TH which is the Momentum to the Solitude 374 TH. We absolutely love it. I do have the Spendide separate w/d and can't imagine not having it. We have been in a FL resort for six months and all I hear are folks complaining about units being broken, having to wait in line, or the mess they find in the washers. That was enough for us to have our own. I just didn't want to deal with all that. This brand works well and is a pretty short drying time. I really can't say there is much difference than our set at home-just a slightly smaller load.

Thanks Sandi, you have confirmed my concerns. I'll have units installed next week. Thanks for helping a bachelor.

I see you are from Lexington. We lived in Danville for 5 years. Absolutely beautiful location.

Ours is not vented. It will dry clothes. Usually we use our solar powere drying rack I built out of PVC pipe

Thanks, non-vented seems to be the easy way but I've heard there are issues related to humidity in the RV, time to dry, and smell of the clothes when they come out. I will go through the process with my RV dealer and see what a vented unit consists of. This was one of the question I asked during my tour yesterday. Waiting for Logan's reply. Any comments from your Miss's would be appreciated.

I see you are active on this site. From us newbies, thank you.
