Pulling a 376TH what is your mileage? What are you pulling it with?

I'm pulling my 2017TH with a 14 F-350, FX-4, crew cab, long bed and the dash mileage meter reflects 13.7 mpg when I use cruise control and keep it at 65 mph but others are telling me that has to be wrong....that it can't get better than 12 mpg- 12.2 mpg with this heavy of a 5er.

I haven't checked it gallons of fuel by how many miles traveled but I will be doing that the next long trip I take.

Just wondering what everybody else is showing for mileage?

I pull my 379 with a Ram 3500 HD, DRW. From Rio Grande Valley I averaged little over 12 MPG. From San Antonio to Livingston, TX I averaged 8.5. Today from Livingston to Breaux Bridge, LA I averaged 10.1. I notice my dash gauge usually beats mt pencil figures by at least 10%

    Thanks a bunch LC.

Are the 376TH owners not visiting this forum? Sure would like to know where you're at with mileage and tow vehicle?

My guess the 376TH is still too new for many owners to inquire.

There are many on FB that are too cheep to get the real info from the Grand Design Owners Forum.

It is very easy to post pictures on FB and a bit more challenging on the forums.

I rarely see a good mod on FB that hasn't been discussed in length on the forum.

First pull with the new truck was 170 miles from Naples FL to Tampa. The truck had less than 1000 miles on it at the time. I got 9.5 mpg on the way up. On the way back I was down to 7.5. But the trip back was in high cross winds and heavy traffic. We also had over an hour in stop and go traffic. Speed was kept at 65 on cruise whenever possible.

I am just days away from being a 376TH owner. My old 5th wheel is of similar weight. I use 9mpg to estimate trips, kind of the average. I have had 15mpg, and 3mpg. It varies a great deal with incline and wind. I never tow faster than 60 mph.

The mileage on the trip back may have been due to all those mountains there in Fla.

What are you pulling it with? Year, size of truck?

Pretty sure it was uphill all the way home.

I'll have a better idea of my true mileage at the end of May. Mid May we are taking a trip up to Hiwassee GA. Should be about 800 miles each way which will give me a pretty fair idea of what kind of mileage to expect in the future. Will let you know then.
