Rain Gutter Spouts for 2017 Reflection 303 RLS

This is embarrassing, but late last fall, just before the snow was going to fly, I bought a cover for my 2017 Reflection 303 RLS. Since I really didn't trust myself up on the roof (balance isn't what it used to be), I hired a guy to put it on for me. He said he had experience in doing it since he had a 5'er of his own and had the same kind of cover.

He did the job while I was at work (big mistake on my part). This spring, I took the cover off and discovered that he had cut all of the gutter spouts off with a knife. Obviously, next year I'll do the job myself or be on hand when someone else does it...

I called him and chewed him out and he said they would have ripped the cover to pieces. Well, I can see how that would happen, but I would have bought a bunch of racket balls and put them over the spouts to cover the sharp end or something like that. Does anybody else do this when putting your cover on?

Anyway, now I want to replace all of my spouts. I haven't climbed up there yet, but it appears that they are not integral to the gutters, but are stuck on and then liberally covered with caulk. I think there are a total of 7 of them. If GD monitors this, can I buy them from the factory? Also what is the caulk used?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can get these from most any rv store, I ordered mine from Amazon. Usually, they slip in just behind the gutter and are secured with a short screw and sealed with silicone. Very easy to replace.

Good Morning Don,

Unfortunately, we do not sell to retail customers. You can order those gutters through a Grand Design Dealer. The caulk you would want to use would be an exterior sealant like DAP exterior.

Missy I'm a retail customer and I just bought a skylight, interior door jam, mattress and an exterior stove vent from GD. Has something changed in the last few weeks?

Hi Jim,

Yes, we did sell to retail for a very short amount of time. We stopped sometime in February, because it is in violation with our dealer agreement.

Well that's too bad. I see now that the parts book is missing from the web site. My local GD dealer doesn't sell parts retail (so much for dealer agreements I guess). Glad I got my needed GD specific parts when I did. Hopefully I won't need anything else. Thanks for the explanation.

edit: I just looked again on the GD web site and found the parts book. I was looking in the wrong place. There is now instructions to order the parts you need through your local dealer. Perhaps our local dealer can get that done.
