2600RB axle research
Old thread but, I've done some research on the issue.
2017-2018 the axles are rated at 3500 lbs due to the springs. Made by LCI
2019 the axles are rated at 4400 lbs and made by Dexter, not LCI
I contacted Lippert regarding upgrading the springs on my 2017 2600RB. The axle tag shows Variant V000113220. This identified the axle as having a 3" diameter beam. Interestingly, LCI uses the same beam for axles up to 7000 pounds.
The lady I spoke with said,"Going from 1750 rated to 2000# is LCI's normal recommendation." However "the 2200# spring would work and not exceed the axle strength." Seems LCI does not normally offer a 4400# spring axle assy. When pressed about additional parts I would need to utilize the 2200# on my axle, she was unable to find any.
Below are the specs of the springs discussed and the Standens Number for your local spring shop to cross-reference.
Original (Sagging Rusty Springs)
Lippert SKU 124903
Standens Number 72-42
Capacity (Lbs) 1750
Loaded Length (Inches) 26
Leaves 4
Eye to Eye Length (Inches) 25 1/4
Loaded Arch Height (Inches) 1.5
LCI "suggested upgrade"
Lippert SKU 125797
Standens Number 72-24
Capacity (Lbs) 2000
Loaded Length (Inches) 26
Leaves 3
Eye to Eye Length (Inches) 25 1/4
Loaded Arch Height (Inches) 1.75
Springs Specs I plan to crossreference and use
Lippert SKU 129745
Standens Number 72-78
Capacity (Lbs) 2200
Loaded Length (Inches) 26
Leaves 4
Eye to Eye Length (Inches) 25 1/4
Loaded Arch Height (Inches) 2 (I can handle a 1/2" rise)Last edited by Rivercityjeff; 02-14-2019 at 06:21 PM.

Results of Upgrade?
Jeff,
I found the same info from Lippert and was planning to do the same upgrade. However my purpose is to try to gain about 1" tire clearance from trailer "fender" area. Space above tire is only 2" and is beginning to rub the floor. How did your upgrade go?

We have 6000 miles since the upgrade. I would do it again.
The springs were shot and rubbing the wheel well, so we had to address them. We had the hangers reinforced with angle iron and added the CRE 3000 too. The funny part is I think the Goodyear Endurance tires (with their stiff sidewalls) make the most difference in reducing sway and roll.
Loaded measurements (Trailer leveled fore-aft, but the ground was not level):
Left Side (driver's side). Right Side
Top of spring eyelet is 2 1/2" Top of spring eyelet is 2 1/2"
Front Spring - Top to frame 6" Front Spring - Top to frame 5 1/4"
Rear Spring - Top to frame 6 3/4" Rear Spring - Top to frame. 6 1/4"
Top of spring eyelet is 2 1/2" Top of spring eyelet is 2 1/2"
Measuring from the top of the spring eyelet to the top of the spring for arc:
Left Ft. 3 1/2" Right Ft. 2 3/4"
Left Rr. 4 1/4" Right Rr. 3 3/4"
Average arc 3.56". ***If you measured from the center of the spring bolt, my numbers would be approx. 3/4" higher.
Even parked on uneven ground, the minimum tire to wheel well was just over 3".
Note:
1. The bronze bushing do not fit all springs, and did not fit the new springs. Spring shop said the plastic would serve us well. We will see.
2. A Commerical truck spring and alignment shop did our springs for much less $ than the local ("we are 4-6 weeks behind in January") RV shop.
3. The spring shop sold us 2250 lb. rated springs as the 2200 were special order. $400 installed. Only after our former RV tech installed the CRE3000 did "we" realize springs were needed.
Our upgrade survived Michigan and Indiana potholes aka, highways.
Upgrade recap:
1. GD Endurance tires
2. Morryde CRE 3000 suspension
3. Morryde shackles with wet bolts, sans bronze bushings
4. Spring hangers re-enforced with welded angle iron.
When talking with Morryde, I was advised NOT to do the cross brace UO21-003.Last edited by Rivercityjeff; 02-01-2020 at 04:12 PM.

What about just going to a local spring shop to have the existing springs redone? I have had leaf springs rebuilt for several vehicles so I can't see why they can do it for a trailer. If you work with the shop you will get exactly what you want. Here in Boise we have Boise Spring Works. I have never used them so not recommending or endorsing them, but I did use a shop in Seattle when I lived there and am sure most cities of a reasonable size have a similar business to do the work.

Spring upgrade
Sure glad to hear that it has worked well. I plan to add Morryde heavy duty shackles. Already have Correct track and Carlisle tires.
It's a big "ask" but if you can, can you check the compressed arch on the 2200 springs. My current springs are 3 1/16 unloaded arch, but less than
1 5/8" arch when loaded. Scale weight on axles is only 5,800 lbs total, well under the 7,000 ( dual 3,500) capacity.
