    Holding Tank level indicators

My holding tanks level indicator lights are not anywhere near accurate. When empty (and dry) They are always indicating at least a third. Is there a way to calibrate? If something is on the sensors, is there a way to clear them off?

Google "RV Geo Method". The problem is that the sensors get dirty very quickly. Many of us ignore the readings, and go by instinct/,experience/gut feeling as to when it's time to dump.

    Barbara and Dave,
Thank you the information regarding the Geo Method. Sounds like a good way to keep the tanks clean. I'll give it a try. The Reflection I have is a 2015. It is my third RV. The tank sensors on my two previous RVs always worked fairly well (read empty when the tanks were empty, full when they were near full). When it is just my wife and I camping, we have a pretty good idea how long we have on the tanks. It gets more uncertain when we have guests. In those cases it'd be nice to know when your close to full before the potential nightmare begins.
Again... Thank you for the Geo Method info and thank you for taking the time and effort to reply.

Haven't gotten my Imagine yet (next week!), but my prior Jayco has the same issue. Common response has always been - "That's the way they are". Mine would start empty, jump to 3/4, then go to 1/2 forever, back to 3/4, then finally full. I've had limited success buying special "sensor cleaner" from the RV dealer. Add the chem, fill the tanks and let everything soak for a day or longer. Usually (but not always) results in better readings. But within a dump or two, they go back to their old habits.

Try TankTechs RX for both your gray and black tanks. The reason for the false reading on the sensors is due to mold. Go to YouTube and search for TankTechs RX. I have been using this products for 3 years now and have never had any false readings. Great product.

We use the Geo method with good success! Most of the time the sensors are accurate. It is important to flush the black tank until the flow runs clear.
