    Painted or Powder Coated

Are the frames on the Reflection Painted or Powder Coated to prevent corrosion?

    Re: Painted or Powder Coated

I'll have to look again. I gave it a good rinse the other day when it was mild as it got some salt/sand on it on the drive home. I didn't see any sign of surface rust anywhere, so either it's a very good painting process or they've been powder-coated.

Good deal, mines scheduled to be at the dealer this week. I will wait for a dry day if I can to get it, but they will be bringing it through some nasty stuff in Indiana. It better be one of the two, or rust will be present immediately.

    Re: Painted or Powder Coated

I had a good look on the creeper under the camper this aternoon. It's a good quality paint job on the frame...a few rusty spots were brackets, etc have been welded on. I'll have some touching up to do in the spring.

No doubt you will se some rust, touch up is always in order. How does your truck handle that fiver? The 337 is on the heavy side of a Mid Profile unit, I am very happy we bought it though, I don't expect any problems towing it.

    Re: Painted or Powder Coated

By the weight sheet provided, the unloaded total weight is 10628 and a 2070 lb dry pin weight. I've only towed it home about 100 miles...rolling hills and no problem maintaining 62 mph in cruise. The V10/5speed would drop out of OD on the hills, occasionally drop down to 4th. My F250 was ordered with the camper package so the rear springs are the same ones as on a F350 I believe.

The camper sits quite high...I had the dealership drop the pinbox to the lowest setting (1 set of holes) and I raised my hitch one position (now 2nd set of holes from the top. The truck dropped about 2" with the pin weight...the truck's ride height is the same front/rear. Even with those changes, the camper sits down 2" in the front. I don't want to raise the hitch any more as it will make the pinbox interfere with my folded, solid tonneau cover. I plan on adding air bags to increase the rear ride height to get the camper closer to level.

I can level the camper (to the ground) and measure the overhang and king pin to ground measurements if you need to set-up your hitch.

Very good information, if it's not a big hassle yo you I could use those measurements for sure. I figured these units would handle nice. What hitch are you using

    Re: Painted or Powder Coated

I have a Reese Pro Series 15K slider, though I suspect I wont' require the slider anymore. I may be changing the head to a spring loaded jaw type as the sliding bar type has some free play which allows some movement (and noise) when starting and stopping.

I'll get those measurements for you tomorrow.

I have a Reese Signature Series 18K slider, not using the slider wouldn't bother me one bit. Thanks again for the information, I will look for your measurements.

    Re: Painted or Powder Coated

I got the measurements I mentioned. With the camper level the overhang is 61 1/2" and the hitch plate on the pin box is 48 1/2" from the ground. As I mentioned earlier, the pin box has already been dropped one set of holes from the factory set-up which would therefore be 49 1/2". Hope this helps with your hitch set-up.
