Ground Control 3.0 control panel access

We are about to take delivery of our 307MKS, our first RV. We have a storage facility rented to keep it inside when not in use. It's 12 feet wide, giving us about 2 feet of clearance on each side. The control panel for the leveling system is located in the pass thru on the drivers side. It just occurred to me that I have to be able to operate the front jacks to hitch and unhitch the trailer in the storage building. I'm not sure I will be able to open the pass thru compartment door enough to access the control panel. I thought maybe I could relocate the control panel to the front storage compartment, but the tail gate of my truck would block access to that when hitching/unhitching.

Has anyone else run into this? Am I worried about nothing?

Are you saying there is no exterior switch up under the front of the trailer to operate the landing gear?!?!?! That's incredible.

None that was demonstrated to me when the dealer walked me thru the operation of the autoslide hitch. I don't recall seeing anything other than the solar connection on the front of the trailer.

It would be up under the front above the the forward storage compartment on the horizontal surface next to the pin box on the drivers side. On my model there is also a switch for the LED light for the hitch.

    Sorry it's sideways.
I can't my pass thru open when stored at home either. I'd hate to have to send my wife through the other side to operate the landing gear.

Nope, definitely don't have those switches in that location. I recall seeing a switch for the LED hitch light, but not sure where I saw it. I don't think it was outside. All I have at the top is the latch to hold the front storage door open.

While not a cheap option. The control 3 auto leveler from Lippert has a wireless remote touchpad. It does NOT come with the GD factory installed units. My guess it saves GD a $100 per unit. https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories.../LC358601.html

Wow. Unbelievable. $229 remote vs a $16 switch.

Jim, am I correct in the assumption you do not have the auto leveling system but rather the manually powered jacks? It is the difference between a computer controlled auto leveling system and "human controlled".

My 2017 303 is the same way. It has the auto leveling ground control 3.0 system but is only operable from the control panel located just inside basement storage on the drivers side. We had issues in our space with leaving enough room to get the storage bay door open enough to access the panel.

That's correct. Our model year didn't come with the leveling system. I'm pretty happy about that as we've never had an issue leveling the trailer and that's an extra $2900 still in my pocket. We have front landing gear operated from the switch in the above picture for fore and aft leveling and run the low side tires up on either plywood pieces we carry or a pair of Anderson levelers. I installed a large level on the pin box that I watch in the rear view mirror as I back up to get the side to side level. Then I watch an additional level on the same fixture while operating the landing gear to get the fore and aft level. Doesn't take any longer than the auto level system. No jacks in the rear just power stabilizers operated from a switch on the side of the trailer near the rear wall.
