    379FL floorplan

Just saw the Grand Design Solitude 379FL fron livingroom floorplan and pics on the Grand Design website. It looks amazing!!!! So much nicer than other manufacturers front livingroom floorplans.

It is a beautiful floorplan. I noticed they're adding the 2 windows back into the bedroom slide. That's a plus! I have always loved the front living floorplans.

When are the specification for this model going to be uploaded to their website? I saw one at the RV show. It was very nice.

    Re: 379FL floorplan

I saw the 379fl at the Colorado rv show last weekend I have never heard so many people talking about and loving a floorplan like that. You could hardly get in all day there was always 10-12 people just in the living room and BTW fits that many comfortably.
Question is the one I saw did not have windows on the bedroom slide and that was the one thing that is keeping us from getting one also heard others say same thing. But I see on the 360 view the grand design site they have windows on the slides. Does anyone know how the current production models are being built with or without windows?
    Amazing unit.....

    Re: 379FL floorplan

    Hi Ray:

Thanks for the nice comments about our 379 FL. It has been receiving amazing attention and sales. It is going to be tough to keep up with the retail demand for this floorplan.

Current production build for the 379 FL (after the initial 5 units) will have an opening window in the bedroom to the rear of the entrance/screen door. For extra ventilation, we have added a Max-Air ceiling fan with rain sensor and wall mounted on off switch in the bedroom. Unfortunately we do not have enough room for windows in the bedroom slide.

I hope this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Bill Fenech

That's a shame about the windows in the bedroom slide of the 379FL.

The 360 View on the GD website shows the 2 windows. I guess those pictures were of the first models built?

I also just noticed from some pictures I saw on Facebook that the main entry door cannot open all the way with the awning extended. Even though it appears to open enough to get inside, it appears to not be able to open 180 degrees.

Are there stops in place to keep the door from banging into the awning frame? Is there a way to secure the door open so the screen door can be utilized?

I asked about that when I was at the show they have an gas shock to hold it open half way when awning is out and you disconnect it to open all the way to the wall
