Re: Rally
Are there some forum members that would be interested in investigating the possibility of a rally as a small discussion group. If so, could you please contact by PM...3-5 volunteers would be great.

Re: Rally
I think a rally could be done. I've never planned one but have been to 2 and a spin off of 1 where a small group of 15 families got together after meeting at one of the rallies for a yearly gathering in different spots each time. That rally was 10 years ago. We made some great friends and still meet up and camp with some almost yearly.
The owners of Aliner were involved, but did not do any of the rally planning. They did a plant tour, had a few models and even a prototype to go thru at the Campground and donated Aliner branded T shirts, mugs, hats etc that were raffled off or given to everyone upon entry to the rally.. A large pot luck was done and a catered dinner. Not much as far as points of interest in the area, but it seemed to not matter because there was lots of socializing. This was about 4 days.
The other was in a private CG in the Smokies, another couple potlucks and catered dinner or 2 plus a send off breakfast the last morning. There were about 75 families.
A t one of the rallies we did a silent auction of items bought from the state the attendees were from and the money raised went to sponsor a forum. As many know these forums can take a fair amount of $$ especially if the take off and get a large number of members.
It's likely to late to plan one for this year unless it was planned for after Labor day like maybe late Sept early Oct. Before then finding a campground to accommodate a large group could be tough on a short notice.
I agree with Dave that 3 - 5 volunteers could make it work. I'm thinking at least 4. It's a big undertaking. I might volunteer if this becomes a reality.
How many Grand Design Trailers are there out in the real world and how many would attend if they knew about this?
If they aren't a member here the only way they would know is by contact from the company? yep, I'm good at questions but not as good at answers.
