Dual 12V Battery's
Any one know if the Momentum 385TH has a place to fit a 2nd battery so I can run the RV on two in parallel as | do on my Raptor at present to get longer life when we cannot run the generator.
I think the one battery is next to the generator is that correct and do you know the amp size they supply with it?

Tony. Yes there is room in the front cabinet where the other battery is to fit a second.

Thanks that is good news I had a problem on my Raptor with a good space to put the 2nd one, but its a good thing to do if your dry camping.

The battery is dealer installed, so you should check with your dealer to see what they are putting in for you. You could always upgrade to a group 27 also...Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

According to this video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f963ApYO_7c ......the front compartment can hold up to 4 batteries. Don;t know if it is the truth, or just another dealer blowing smoke.

Re: Dual 12V Battery's
Hi All
Just picked up our new Momentum and put my two battery's in on the left side and put the one the dealer put in on the right of the generator not linked, so it can be done but not a lot of room to work with.
You can then put 4 in but need long run to link them from one side to the other I will start with the one pair for now and see how they cope on the first dry camp.Tony & Hilary Self

Re: Dual 12V Battery's
When we pick up our unit next month, the dealer is already primed to install 2 6V golf cart batteries. If you're considering extended dry camping, you can get much more capacity with 2 6V Batteries installed in Series.
We will also be using a portable 200Watt solar array to keep them charged.
