Will using this hitch void the manufacturers frame warranty?

Let me research this with our Engineering department and Lippert, and get back to you next week. Just a couple of questions - where you thinking of the rail mount or gooseneck version? Also, which of our products do you own or are you interested in (please let me know the brand and floor plan)?

at this time we do not own one, but are planning to buy a Reflection 337 in the spring 2014. The gooseneck version is what I was considering.

Thanks for the reply! The Reese Goose Box^TM is the only gooseneck coupler approved by Lippert Components. I'll get back to you next week to let you know if it can be used on the Reflection 337. In the meantime, here's a link to Lippert's website: http://www.lci1.com/goose-box.

Lippert confirmed the Reese Goose Box^TM is the only gooseneck coupler they endorse, and that any other will void the frame warranty.

If the Andersen Hitch Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection–gooseneck version can be adjusted to the height of the Reese Goose Box^TM then it appears it can be used; HOWEVER, either you or your dealer will need to confirm the measurements of your towing configuration with both Lippert and Anderson Hitch to be positive.

I do need to add that this modification, the aftermarket parts, installation and any potential damage caused by the modification is not covered by either of our limited product warranties. Has Grand Design or LCI looked further into this. What do I need to do to see that I don't mess up my warranty? I will be pulling a 380 with a Ram Dually. I will set up the hitch to level the trailer.

Spoke with JD this week and he stated that the Andersen Hitch was okayed for the Grand Design trailers. I purchased one from a local Camper City and mounted it. It was just as easy as they promised. I did discover that my hitch was shorter than they advertise. I contacted the Factory and they informed me that my hitch was an older model. They are sending me a new one to replace to one I am using. I did use the older model and it works great. (My problem is the need for a taller hitch than the "old model".) I look froward to the new ones arrivial.

I also received a call from Ray Andersen himself and he was great to work with. They customer support puts them high on my "recommend" list.

The Andersen is NOT a gooseneck. It does not create the stress that a gooseneck adapter does.
