Roof Cleaning

I read a post about roof cleaning today and they talked about UV protectant being applied on the roof after cleaning. They also commented about the UV protectant not being needed. Can anyone clear this up for me? My question is 2 part first what is the recommended procedure for cleaning and what type of chemical is needed to perform that? and do you need to put on a UV product? If I could get the factory's side of this because most of us have our own opinion how to perform this.

The roof manufacturer's care instructions can be found in your black, cloth Owner Information Bag from Grand Design RV. However if for whatever reason your document may have been misplaced, I contacted Alpha Systems (the roof material manufacturer for your RV) and got their permission to upload their instructions here for you (see attached). Good to hear from you again, and you are welcome but please be aware your RV does not use Alpha Systems roof material -- your RV has Dicor roof material.
