Imagine 2950RL Bedroom TV backer
Does anyone have the dimensions of the backer for the TV in the Imagine's? I assume GD would be fairly common in design across products so any input would be welcomed. I am asking because do I have to be dead center on the sticker from left to right? I would like to favor the right (toward to nose) and depending on TV size come down the wall a fair amount.
Any advice on the size of that backer would be welcomed.

Is it possible you could find the dimension with an electronic stud finder?

I used a fishtank magnetic cleaner to find the metal galvanized plate behind. If I recall correctly, it measured 10 inches x 10 inches.

Definitely don't trust the label. I haven't installed a bracket but have seen many bad outcomes trusting it. Get some magnets and use those to find the edges. That has been the best way I have seen on Facebook.

My backer plate must be either wood or aluminum on my 2017 297RSTS. The label is there, but even with a very powerful magnet, I can't find a ferrous metal backing.

I used a electronic stud finder. I believe the plate in my 2150RB was about 9in x 9in

What is the suggested mounting fastener to mount the TV wall mount to the metal plate? The tech support from GD suggested an expanding wall anchor, but when I hear that term, I think drywall anchors, which doesn't seem strong enough to hold a TV to the wall while bouncing down the interstate. It looks like a molly bolt might be a better option since the wings on the back can expand behind the plate and sandwich it. My last thought was perhaps rivnuts since there's a metal backer. I want to make sure that the TV doesn't go anywhere at any cost, but also doesn't damage the internal wall or the fiberglass outside.

I took delivery of my 2500rl last night. The technician who did my pre-delivery orientation suggested that the best way to mount the TV was to find the plate with magnets, determine the placement, use a small drill to make pilot holes and attach using self tapping screws. He said do not trust the sticker always verify the location before drilling.

I called GD and they were happy to send me blueprints for the wall framing. I used that coupled with a magnet to trace where the backer plate was. One thing that may help, the windows are framed on either side by a stud. Once you know that it is fairly easy to measure both left and right to verify you have the general location of the stud and backer plate are located to double check yourself.
