    Dometic T-stat issue

So twice now while the unit was parked in the driveway... the A/C system kicked on all by itself. The Dometic T-Stat was turned to "off". Came out a while later and could here the fan in the coach blowing and sure enough... the T-Stat was now showing A/C. This is the main unit in a 28BH that is mounted directly above the light switches. Anyone else have issues with the Dometic T-stat?

I have a similar issue in my 28BH. I find the buttons stick, the temp will continue to adjust after I let go, or it will change to Celsius (normally done when both up and down are hit together). GD sent me a new thermostat but it has the same issue. I resolve it for now by taking the cover off the thermostat, and touching the contacts to make adjustments. It then works fine, so the issue is definitely something in the cover. Possibly your cover causes it to cycle to ac on by itself. Try taking the cover off for now to rule that out?

Having a similar issue with mine.
Seems like if I even look at the thermostat sideways it lights up. "Weird" I thought.
Driving home last weekend and stopping for lunch I discovered that the furnace was running , and yes, we made sure the thermostat was "OFF". Went inside the trailer and turned it off.....for whatever that's worth.
This might explain my dead battery after a week even with the 'battery disconnect' deployed, which isn't actually a complete battery disconnect anyway. Going to install a true disconnect in the very near future.

Trailer is going into dealer today, so this thermostat issue will be added to the list of things to check.
No longer a part of the club....DW had to stop working for health issues. Truck and trailer had to be sold :(

If I remember correctly, the Dometic stats have a "schedule" option, like some home stats. Make sure you're not running on a schedule.

Was running again today. Not sure if it is hurting the unit... but I am only plugged into 15A service and the T-stat is always kicking on A/C. Only the fan is running by the time I find it running... but I'm guessing the compressor is trying to start at some point.

You can always flip the breaker to off until you figure out what is going on.
