Electric Golf carts Which brand do you have or like the best
Hello,
I am interested in knowing what brand you all own and why. I once had an older EZGO and it was fine but the newer ones look much nicer. I am looking to pick something up here soon and may go look at some Yamaha's that a dealer near by has. Of course he only likes the Yamaha's because that is what he sells. There is also a EZGO dealer not far from me either that I will check out. I just dont know much about the newer ones and all the different changes. It will be used mainly around campgrounds and around the yard occasionally. Probably just a small 3" lift and a folding backseat with a roof of some sort.
Thanks for any info provided.2017 Momentum 350M

I have an EZGO (I think RXV or something like that), it has been good so far. We have had it about a year and a half, it is hopped up a little, lifted and fast. It needs a little better brakes because of the speed it is capable of, but other than that no complaints. We can use it around town where we live, so it gets some use, not just around campgrounds.
Take care,
Chris

I own a Club Car Precedent. I chose Club Car over the others due to the aluminum frame. Rust resistant and lighter really were the key factors for me. I own a travel trailer and haul the GC in the 8' bed of my truck with tailgate closed.

I gotta ask this. I've never been to golf course larger than a par 3 that didn't have carts for rent. Is it really cost effective to haul around your own golf cart?

Good question. Cost Effective? If you strictly go by the numbers, the short answer is No. Our favorite campground is Fort Wilderness at Disney World. They rent carts for ~$60 per day. We typically are there 2-3 times per year. It doesn't take long to pay for a used golf cart at those rates. Most other campgrounds we frequent offer them for $25 per day. Some even charge an upcharge of $5 per day if you bring your own. But, for us it is a "nice to have our own" kinda thing.

I was referring to golf courses. Why would you need a golf cart at a camp ground?

Not really a need for one, just nice to have in the larger campgrounds and some of the areas we travel allow them on the roads.

It is more of a want than a need for sure. Some of the campgrounds we visit are quite large and have beaches and dragging all the stuff that goes along with the beach really isnt much fun for Dad... I would also use it around my property to small yard chores or ride to the neighbors to check on them.

My golf cart has never set a wheel on a golf course! It's a 4 seater that we use around town and take with us when we go camping at cart friendly campgrounds (Ft. Wilderness is a frequent one). Also a frequent visit and use of the cart is a 55 acre family property. When I go play golf I rent their carts.
Take care,
Chris

Hey Chris,
Looks like we have almost the same setup as far as campers and trucks.2017 Momentum 350M
