AC not working - still covered under warranty?

Grand Design Customer Service - question. We have a 2016 Reflection 323BHS, purchased new in June 2015. The main AC unit is not working, and we are looking to have a mobile tech come out since we are on the road. I think I'm reading that there is a 2 year warranty on the AC, is that correct? If so, what is the process to get warranty authorization?

Yes, there is a 2 year warranty on Dometic AC units. One of mine quit cooling and was replaced. Call Dometic and they will give you a list of authorized technicians in your area.

You'd go to your packet holding all the documentation on your trailer--including a/c, refrigerator, appliances, etc. Your a/c manufacturer will be listed and so will their telephone number. You make a claim directly to them. You should have one sheet where someone at GD wrote down all the serial numbers on your appliances, as they'll be asking for it.

During that time frame, you might have an Atwood A/C unit.

I would not hesitate at all. Call GD customer service right away at 574-825-9679 and let them know what is going on. They sometimes don't get to this page for a couple of days. I'd call them before you bring out the mobile tech. If the warranty is still in place, you may need to work with the AC manufacturer for repairs and not GD. GD will guide you to achieve the best outcome.
