Custom dryer vent install?

Time for an update...

Our 398 has a different underbelly setup than our 399 did due to GD insulating more of the garage so I needed a different approach for the washer install. Since we have the 1/2 bath option, it's a similar layout to pur 399 and many other Momentums.

I opted to install the dryer duct through the floor and come straight out the coroplast. I found a soffit dryer vent which would allow for a vertical installation, but a horizontal discharge to have a flap to close the opening when not in use.

I used some aluminum flatstock as a backer for the vent so the screws would have something to attach to.

I used a flange type setup again for the washer to floor connection which allows for easy install and easy cleaning.

Since I had to cut the coroplast, I needed to close it back up, but wanted something more than tape.

I used aluminum angle on top of the coroplast which is sitting and screwed to the frame rails and then sandwhiched the coroplast between the aluminum angle and aluminum flat stock.

I'm hoping to build some shelving around rhe washer whenever I get some free time, I have higher priority projects to work on right now.

Luckily I decided to look in the drain stand pipe based on my last experience. Looks like some pvc cement got in there and wouldn't allow full flow of water. I was able to clear it out before using the washer and it seems to drain well.
